HI7662-T is a stainless steel temperature probe that can be used for Hanna’s benchtop meters and potentiometric titration systems.
High accuracy thermometers provide the versatility, speed, and reliability required by users in all areas concerning temperature measurement. Speed is important when the reactions being monitored have the potential to change rapidly, which can happen during titrations, or standard or sample additions.
pH readings must be temperature compensated in order to obtain accurate results. The source of temperature measurement can be from the HI7662-T Temperature Sensor or from a trimmer that is manually adjusted. In either case, the instrument is adjusting the pH reading to compensate for changes in the pH sensor. Temperature compensation provides the actual pH of the buffer or sample at the temperature of measurement.
Temperature compensation can be obtained in three ways:
- A separate probe specifically for measuring temperature
- A probe with a temperature sensor built-in
- Manual adjustment for temperature
